Split mesh with plane failed

Hi Everyone,
I tried to split a 3d scan mesh into several pieces. I used several offset parallel planes I created in Onshape as the split tools. The first split command worked good. Then I tried to split one of the pieces again with the next offset plane. But this time the split failed. Any tips for me?

I discovered if I move the splitting plane by a thousand of an inch, the mesh will split. Is that link I posted what you were asking for?
yep the link worked but if you figured it out no need for the link… haha unless you need that .001 precision.
Nope, close enough is good enough for me.
The plane probably coincided with a particular mesh triangle point or plane and couldn't figure out how to deal with that.
