Edit preexisting part

so i been printing out some dummys and I want to make the 13 in its chest into a shape like a triange, but im too dumb to figure out how. anyone tryna help me out?

so i go to select a face/edge in the create section tool like you said, but no matter what setting i have (protrusion, pocket, hole, etc. tried them all) or what face I click on, it just highlights the entire part. Really sorry I'm new to this.
If you have an STL, then you won't be able to use most direct editing techniques. But you can still manipulate the solids (Add, Remove, etc.)
