Struggling with connected parts with thread

andrew_harmon504andrew_harmon504 Member Posts: 2

Im making a simple threaded connection that doesn't need to be super strong or water tight but I'm having a hard time with it. Any tips to get them to connect better?

Create the lid it its correct location (rather than randomly off to the side)… and then you'll be able to create the thread on one part and boolean it out of the other (with an offset), or at least use the same helix path to guarantee things will line up.

Or do it the easy way using the threadlab Featurescript: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5c0528b62c1fbb13a2a0e739/v/f86229e7f586f8517a2068a9/e/7cbb452d4d5e963a034ce616
