Sheet metal model

hello everyone
Does anyone have an idea how I can create the sheet metal deformation for the component shown. With the tool sheet metal model, I can't get the flanging right. The circular arc is not recognized for the flange.

Thank you for any idea or help.

@erich_zimmermann734 - To my knowledge, Onshape sheetmetal will not recognize curved flanges (the ones where "stretching" or "shrinking" is involved). I don't think other cad systems do either. You can use standard modelling tools to create the finished part, but these curved flanges will not "flatten" in the flat pattern. If others have a way to do this, I'd like to hear how.

Maybe you could add the flange width, in the original flat profile - then later, make notes in the drawing telling bend up 87 deg. - shrinking as necessary (or things to that effect). This workaround approach may require a separate part (one for flat pattern - one for finished part), but onshape does do multi-part studios very well.

    Hello,

I have now put the component together from two individual elements. But I'll try @S1mon's suggestion. I'm still in exploration mode here about what onshape can do. Attached is the link to the finished component (certainly with errors). Thank you for your help.

@S1mon - Thanks for reminding me about surface flattening. I haven't used that yet, and I'd forgotten about it - I've got to play around with that one.

This is one case where it could be useful, I think.
