Slide linkage by CADemist linkage pin shearing

paddy_kingpaddy_king Member Posts: 9

Have completed "Slide linkage Tutorial by CADemister": everything went perfectly until I located the 14mm pin into the junction of the Crank and the Link. Made the insertion using Revolute ( as in Tutorial) it appeared to work perfectly until I moved the slide, when the Crank just sliced through the pin, same result if i rotate the link.

Have reloaded several times in to Assembly trying different sequences with the same result.

As it works in the tutorial I must have made an error somewhere.

    Thanks for your reply

I posted a reply yesterday confirming that as you suggested, my document was now uploaded to the help line. As this reply has not yet been published I am concerned that it might not have been uploaded correctly. So have sent another reply to your suggested provision of the document..

You have to give us the link here…
Sharing with support shares with Onshape tech support (needed when creating a support ticket), not the forums.

    Thanks again, on learning curve!

However not sure how to send document to you as it is .msg. which is not accepted even though it is specified by you for all documents?

Strangely your Export conversion which is ideal and very fast to use , does not include any formats acceptable to the Forum either.

Sorry to be difficult but not sure how to achieve the required conversion so it can be attached.
