New password criteria issue

Hi,
One of my students is trying to set up an Onshape account. They receive the new password link by email, go to the page where they type in the new password twice, the criteria are all met as they turn green accordingly, tick boxes are checked but then a message pops up saying the password does not meet the requirements.
I did this myself for the student several times and still the same issue.
Is there any advice or a work around you could give please as it is really frustrating.
