Is there a way to break association after creating a part with a derived sketch?

I have simple plates designed from a master sketch in another part studio, and now I want to keep the part as is and break the association. Is there a way to do this?

You can switch it to a version any time…
Edit the derive feature and in the "select part studio", expand the version and history to pick a version instead of the "workspace":0

AND the associated master sketch is in another document, should have included this in the first post.
I'm still in development, and with the many changes to the document where the master sketch lives in it's frustrating to have to update the reference in simple plate's document each time.
The most brutal way would be to export the part and then import in the target document. That breaks everyting. There is, however a feature called "Derive", which might just do what you need: It places a copy of a version of a part into another part studio in the same or in another document.
Thanks for the response Martin. some more detail: this part starts from a Derived sketch, and then I make the initial extrusion and hole pattern based on this. I see that you can either have the derived sketch locked in to a particular version, or have it always stay with the most recent version. I just chose wrong at the start (still pretty new to Onshape). Now that I'm saying this, I think I'll change the Derived sketch to be locked in to a release version of the master sketch's part.
