Cut out features

I have been away for awhile - life gets… well… interesting. I digress. I got back using Onshape about a week ago and since then I have done some practice exercises by Too Tall Toby; he goes bite by bite through the process. After doing some of these I felt confident to do something of my own. I found a random mechanical drawing.

I locate a design print and gave it ago. I drew the following. The vertical "round shape" (I forgot to include the slivers and the hollow square center which are suppose intersect the horizontal feature atop, following the curved contour of the inner bore. Should I have created another sketch so this will occur? As you can see I tend to jump in the deep end somewhat.

Thank you for the assistance you can provide.

The file is in the Public Space under the name "Offset Mount." I have attached a screenshot.
