Improvements to view only mode, desktop and mobile

We often share view only links to our models for the customer and interested parties to view and provide feedback.
The interaction with view only mode leaves a bit to be desired.
A view only link opened on a mobile browser: (touch device) opens and renders fine however is completely useless as the user cannot pan or rotate at all regardless of tool selected(I presume there is lacking a click when gesturing)
Suggest full gesture support from touch devices. Maps and many other browser 3d viewers can do this fine including pan, rotate and zoom without having to select a tool
A view only link opened on a desktop browser:
The user have to select a basic view manipulation tool from the toolbar which appears to be based for a touch screen, yet does not work for a touchscreen
Basic view manipulation should be available without modal tool selection
Any reason user cannot pan with LMB and turntable rotate with MMB, or rotate with a ctrl modifier/LMB ?
