IDs behaving differently

jacob_kingeryjacob_kingery Member Posts: 39 EDU
Some FeatureScript that was working a few days ago was throwing 'Invalid id provided' errors today.  After messing around with things for a while, I finally figured out that the IDs causing the issue has spaces in them, such as id + "extrude thing".  Is this no longer allowed?  If so, how did the change affect my code when its version is still what it was before (293.0)?

Someone else should confirm, but I'm fairly certain this did change in the most recent version. Id strings should all be alphanumerics, and we're now enforcing that.

My apologies for providing you with bad code!

Yes, looks like I did not properly version the change (largely because I didn't realize we were not enforcing this previously).  Basically, our servers got upgraded and 275 (as opposed to 293) is an instruction to our new servers to run code as if they were the previous ones.  We are working on better upgrade procedures to prevent this type of breakage in the future.

Ah, I see.  Thanks for clarifying.
