User Defined Global Variables Valid For All Documents Possible?

Hi,
is there a way to define global variables which can be used in each single document? So this would be a step beyond variable studio.
I'd like to define global "constants" for thread pitch such as "M6_Pitch", "M6_HoleDia", …. This would increase my workflow, as otherwise I have to look up such numbers and type them anew.
Could this be done with a feature script? I'd love to try that for a start.

You can reference a variable studio from other documents, if that's what you want.

Thanks @S1mon, I'll give it a try.
