I was able to create an external thread in Part Studio Bowl.

you can select the inner face instead of the outer that you have selected., Not sure what featurescript your using but it seems to take a while to create that thread. and it adds material to the inner surface making you inner diameter smaller. You might prefer the threadlabs feature script which adds thread materiel only and seems to work faster
