create a surface between two curves

I'm tring to create a surface of a letter like "o" projected of curved object. after projecting the letter I'm getting 2 curves one for the outer line of the letter and one for the inner line of the letter.

when i try to fill the curves to convert it to surface I can only get a full fill of the closed curve. I what the surfce of the letter and the a "circle" like surface.

how can this be done?

I'll crated a simple representation of the problem in here:

You can use loft between the inner and outer loop. Or split the surface with your projected curves and delete the surfaces aren't between the loops
