Dimensioning a length of a Curved Object

Trying to determine the length of an object for this engineering drawing. How do you measure a curved object in this instance to note its length and width. We tried adding a node (point), in the sketch but this does not help in the drawing

Cheers

You can show the sketch and dimension the points, but what might be easier is to split the surface(s) with the midplane, which will give you points in the main view.

... or use the recently introduced split edge FS, which will also create the dimensionable point on the edge but leave the face in one piece.
