I have a parametric model for a part created in one document. I would like to make it available to many other documents to create similar parts. How can I do that?

you're request is a little vague, but here goes and attempt at answering:

you stress that your model is parametric. it seems in other documents you might want slightly altered geometry of the same model?
→ try making your model configurable by putting the most important dimensions in configuration table or drive them with a configurable variable.
(perhaps learn about configurations in the onshape learning centre)

→ then run a version so in other documents you can refer to a specific state of the document.

→ if you want to use it as a basis for building more geometry on top of, use 'derive' in a new part studio in a new document.

→ if you want to use your part in the context of other parts you're building, 'insert' it into an assembly. then create the other parts and add them or create them in context using 'new part studio in context'…
