how to put the cubes together in assembly?

in freecad, i can easily align the cubes together by points lines and faces, but in onshape, it this hard to use the mates function to pack all the cubes together, may I know which is the faster way to put the cubes together please?
There are 9 cubes in the space in which all the cubes are placed at different height, different angles and different slant angle.
I need to move them all back to a 3 x 3 cubes orientation.

the cubes? where are the cubes coming from?
in assemblies, you could rearrange cubes with fastened mates. one mate should do (edge to edge, face to face, doesn't matter).
but it seems more logical to draw one cube and create linear patterns… rather than rearranging cubes that come from elsewhere?

Thanks for teaching.
I have another question on this 3x3x3 cubes, how to apply the mates to these blocks so that it can be acts like a rubik's cube?
I can only apply revolute mate to one of the layer only ( say the horizontal layer ), but once I applied revolute mate to this layer, I cannot apply another revolute mate to the vertical 3x3 layer.
Please advise.
Thanks for your reply.

Try searching Public documents for "Rubik's". You could search the forum for the same subject - it's been discussed here before.

( will attach the color sticker to the blocks soon.)
I have a question in rotating the blocks, can I make an animate as below:
After step 1, I got a problem in release the mates.
My first target is: say …
press A button, rotate top 3x3 blocks by 90 degree in clockwise direction
press B button, roate right vertical 3x3 blocks by 90 degree in clockwise dirction.
Target is:
WER and SDF to control up and down for x-blocks.
TY, GH, BN to control the horizontal blocks rotation.
UIO and JKL to control the y-blocks up and down.
Thanks for teaching again.
Have a nice day.
