modeling planks on a boat hull

Hi,
I can't figure out, how to model planks that built boat hull like on photo below
this 'steps' where planks meet should flattened on both ends. I tried to sketch those steps on middle bulkhead but loft give weird results
in link below there is a basick shape of a hull i've made.

I will be grateful for your help

1st glance no experimentation, I'd guess a bunch of curves and surfaces to set up a loft by path/guides for each board. I personally don't have time to try it. maybe someone else can or suggest something better.
Haven't tried but if you already have the basic shape as a face, you should be able to split it (or even just add curves on it, probably using the a bunch of "offset curves".
Then I would try defining a frame profile of the exposed part of your plank (i.e a wedge shape), and create frames using the curves using the new "align to face" or whatever it's called option. You could this with individual sweeps as well but the frame might be quicker.
The "pattern and sweep" FS might also be a good option. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/76442daf92ce43df74883ec6/v/6cadb9686041c3ecd01e6833/e/cdac35e0ee54c70d46280df1?jumpToIndex=1163
