Why can't I extrude the non-extruded part in the other direction?

Hello,
I want to extrude the non-extruded part of this sketch by 2.2mm in the opposite direction to the extruded part (see picture), but this is not accepted and I can't understand why.
Kind regards
ProApe

I looked at this but it appeared things had changed from when you posted the question and couldn’t see the issue you were describing
Yes, I had understood that I could extrude it as a new part.
Unfortunately I couldn't write that without opening a new discussion as my question was not visible.
I'm still astonished that this is the case here, unlike all the forums and communities I know.
