Sweep along a helix is not resolving

mike_hockingsmike_hockings Member Posts: 15

For some reason I can't seem to get a profile to sweep over a helix. It works fine for the circular base but not for the helix. Any ideas what I have done incorrectly to make it fail to sweep?

Here is the part that is not resolving:

Many thanks for any wisdom that shows the error in my ways!

Your sweep self-intersects because of that 0.5 mm overlap.

Move that far right vertical line to the left side of the Front plane and you're good to go.

Thanks @Matt_Shields I extended it beyond when the sweep stopped generating in an attempt to figure out what the issue was. I guess somehow I must have moved it past the center inadvertently before. Moving it back seems to have fixed it, woot! Next to figure out why the stop at the bottom no longer extrudes. One day I may learn all the tricks but I might retire first the way I am going ;)

    Thanks, again!
