Surface Area and Volume

Similar to how mass is available in drawings, I would like to request adding Surface Area and Volume of the drawing referenced part. This is useful to answer requests from coating companies to determine the max load in their tanks, surface area to determine time for anodizing, and material for painting. Just a thought.

Onshape does give the option to create custom computed properties:

The linked article has an example for volume that you should be able to copy.
You could calculate pretty much anything, even the max load or anodizing time if you wanted.
I also sell a library of common computed properties on my featurescript marketplace:

Custom FeatureScript and Onshape Integrated Applications
You can do this now with custom features and properties.
Use Measure Value to measure volume or surface area. Then use the Property / Attribute feature to assign that measured value to a property of your part. You will be able to access that property from within the drawing when using callouts or notes.
If you have access to one of the paid Onshape tiers, you will be able to use custom properties. The property / attribute feature also supports custom properties.
