Introduction to Part Studios - Exercise: Control Arm

david_zulkiewskidavid_zulkiewski Member Posts: 4

I am working through the exercises ahead of my students and ran into some issues with the Control Arm. I had a hard time adding the constraints and ended up using dimensions to create the correct size part. When I tried to create the coincident circles and center point rectangle one of the circles disappeared. Symmetry also gave me some issues and never appeared to work. I created the part twice and never received the correct surface area of the part. What can I do? I feel some of my students will hit this obstacle and stop working.

It might be a good idea for you and your students to take the Introduction to Sketching course first.

That would give everyone a solid foundation before tackling the Part Studios course.

    Also, here's a quick gif.

Thanks, we will check the sketching tutorial out. I have several years with different CAD platforms and I know there will be a learning curve. I wanted to see what I might be missing with those small differences with the surface area and volumes.
