Surface text as a separate part in order to 3d print it in another color as the support

Hello,
I have been having fun designing a coin with Pi and its value that I want to 3d print.
I want to print the text in a different color than the coin itself. Therefore I wanted to treat the text as a separate part, but in the settings of surface text there is no such option.
How can I proceed to solve this?
Kind regards
ProApe

I think you should just be able to select "Raised New" (instead of "Raised add") for the extrude type in the surface text feature
Split using the face under the text.
Boolean the ring back on the coin
use composite part to combine all the text to one part
export each part to stl for printing
A quick solution would be to use Split Part and use the inner face of the coin as the splitting entity.
Thank you for your assistance.
I had since found out that if I right-click on Surface text, I can change its appearance.
However, I don't know if the 3d printer (Bambulab X1C) can handle this.
I'll have a look at your solutions in detail.
Doing appearance changes doesn't affect the STL file export. the slicer software will not recognize colors of onshape. You can 'paint' in bambu studio different colors. easiest way is to have separate objects like i showed and then paint each object the color you want within Bambu Studio
