Does it have error’s

Hi. I have made a pipe, and Im not sure it works propperly for 3D-print. Every print gives lines from where the holes are, and I cant figure out if it’s the printer, or the onshape file. I have tried for weeks, and to no avail.

I highly recommend that you submit the onshape file in the comment so we can determine if it is a design error, however based on my knowledge the lines may be occurring due to 3 reasons inside the slicer software:

    1. Nozzle is too hot: I recommend lowering the temperature by 5-10 degrees and see what happens
    2. Too high speed: Try lowering the speed to maybe around 30mm/s to 50mm/s
    3. The Z-Seam is interfering: The Z seam can sometimes cause this and while you cannot remove the Z seam completely you can try to hide it using the hide Z seam feature or adding coasting to cause this to happen less

Now these answers are one of the big causes for slicer errors but make sure to send the onshape file link to this post so we can tell if it is a design error.

99% of the time people new to 3d printing have a learning curve to go through to consistently produce quality parts. It’s hardly ever a problem with the file. Unless you didn’t make the file yourself and just downloaded it then there might be issues. I’m sure there are tons of forums dedicated to 3d printing and its nuances. Sometimes I think of 3d printing as an art form more than an input output process. Balancing heat speed material type geometry type, etc can be a bit like juggling while balancing on a ball.
