I want to simulate a cam

Thankfully, I am learning onshape with my students. I am a middle school technology teacher in south Korea. I am a beginner in onshape cad. I used to use tinkercad mainly. I am making an automata simulation and I want to simulate two red cams. I am not sure which method to use.

It's a bit tricky because there's no good way to "force" the plunger down, but it can work by using some "dummy" parts:

Oh~~~ Thank you so much. I've been thinking about this for days and I think it was a good idea to ask for help here. I'm currently analyzing the shared document you linked. I still don't understand it 100%, but I think I can sleep well today. Thank you again.
