Mates (Center the Screen)

I am trying to center the screen between the garage rail and the north wall. I also need the screen offset 12" from the west wall.
I cannot figure out how to properly do this with mate connectors. If I use a mate connector attached to the wall in the garage part, I cannot link it to the floor. And vice versa in the floor.
I know the advice is probably just use one part studio and I really dislike putting everything in one part studio. It makes the feature trees incredibly long and cumbersome to navigate.

Have you tried the inbetween option for mate connectors?
Have you tried the offset option in mate connectors?
Have you considered designing the screen in-context?
It might help if you posted an example of the problem.
the advice is definitely not put everything in one part studio!
maybe take the assembly course in the learning center though? all of martin's options are good. since this week, there's even the new 'width mate'
I forgot to include link to assembly
