3D Scan for part (7075 Aluminum)

in General
I used a Creality Raptor 3D scanner of a part to recreate in OS to CNC myself, but now I can't get OS to open the file. I've read that I would need to use a mesh software such as MeshMixer, but then I would have to use either SolidWorks or Fusion. I'm still new to CAD, so I'm at a bit of a loss. I have the scans as .ply files, but I have errors for the scans when I try to open them.

Depending on what you want to do with the scans you may (most likely will) have to process them in mesh editing software to "clean" them up. Doing things like deleting extra scan data, smoothing up edges. connecting surfaces, filling holes, etc. Its not as simple as scan it, import, and send it to CNC.
