Relative transformation/distance between mate connectors

Is it possible to measure the relative distance and orientation between two mate connectors as expressed in the reference frame of one of the mate connectors?

Currently, as far as I can tell, when using the measure tool between two mate connectors in an assembly I can only get the relative distance as expressed in the x, y, and z directions of the origin. The mate connectors form reference frames (as they have both orientation and position) and it would be very useful in the design process to be able to get the relative transforms properly.

    This would indeed be useful, but what format are you expecting? Coordinate system transforms are confusing. There are several different ways to do it.
