Modifying a variable from an assembly configuration

grant_schefersgrant_schefers Member Posts: 2 EDU

Hi,

Is it possible to create a variable in an assembly that can be modified with configurations? Or just create a variable within an assembly that can be modified?

I attempted using a variable studio for this example variable, but I could not find a way to modify it given that configurations seem to only be able to modify assembly features

I've attached a few pictures and the document to hopefully clarify what I am trying to accomplish.

Apologies if the solution is obvious.

Thank you!

BTW. Your document needs to be public for viewing.

A stand alone variable studio cab be used in any tab inside the document. That includes part studios and assembles.

Variable tables only for the part studio you're working in.

Configuration variables can be added to either but are local to parts studios and assemblies.
