How do I export Ball Mate to STL?

I am a newbie in cad and 3d printing. Just started using it because my son gave me his old 3d printer.
I created ball mate and an assembly, but don't know how to export it? I exported assembly but in Prusa slicer it does not lay flat. How will printer print a ball in the body? or do I have to print Body and ball separately and then assemble them?
Thanks in advance

As a rule of thumb you need about 0.4mm between printed parts to ensure they are seperate.
You will need to tell the prusa software to use supports.
