How to use current part studio model in OnShape CAM?

CAM Studio only is aware of versions of parts, but I want it simply to use the current Part Studio model.

Versions, for me, are important for archeology into the what and why for parts, whereas sometimes I just need to drill a hole 10 times and it's bad to have that forever in the version history.

I also want to avoid dozens of versions for when I am trying to create a feedback loop between the part design and the CAM. For instance, maybe I realize that a CAM operation will be easier if I design it in a slightly different way.

Q: Is there a way to tell OnShape CAM simply to use the current part studio model?
