Split Not Regenerating Properly Using Plane to Split FeatureScript Gear With Specific Parameter

Hello OnShape Forums! I've got a real mystery here.

I'm trying to make a parametric double helical gear for a personal project, but found an error using the Split feature only when the gear has 40 teeth. It works perfectly for everything else, but when the gear has 40 teeth the split fails. Any idea why?

I tried and the split works, but the revolve 1 fails.
Can't play around with it much because it's a view only doc.

Using a Split this early in your document is tricky indeed. Is it 'keep both sides'?
In that case the side that is part1 vs part2 may flip.
nowadays with query parameters, you could cope with this, but it's still a patch.

is there a way to do what the split does differently? using a boolean to delete part of your part?
