Editing in Context Question

I have created an assembly for inserting the different sections of a locomotive boiler. I want to create indivitual Part Studios for each section. I am doing this to add the details of each section in it's own studio so that I don't override the feature elements and get myself in trouble with do much in one Parts Studio.

The issue I am experiencing is that Once I do an edit in context to create the Parts Studio, and do a copy in place, I don't seem to be able to maintain the sketches I inserted into the assembly.

Is there a workaround for this? Or am I missing something? Appreciate the help.

Here is the Parts Studio for the smokebox. I had to manuely place the sketches to be able to use them as I would like.

Hey @jack_erhart,

You would probably be better of using the derived feature to bring one multiple (master-) sketches in the individual Part Studios.
If you need to work on interfaces between some of the parts you can still add them to your assembly and use in-context design.

I had fogotten about being able to use derived for sketches. That worked great, and kept the sketch positioned just like I needed it.
