Organizing by most recent will be extremely helpful It should be the default tab order.

I would be happy to vote for an improvement request adding date order as an option, but I would never want this to be the default. I always organize documents so that the most important thing is the left/top most tab, working down from there, with CAD Imports (if any) last.
"Most recent" - is that created or modified time? What if you're collaborating with someone, do you really want to sort by most recently modified and have the order constantly changing while each of you work on your tabs?
