Multi-Company set up & Part Numbers

in General
I'm on the paid Professional plan-one seat-working as an independent contractor juggling designs for three different startups.
The only reason this is becoming an issue is I need to use the part numbering system in Onshape. So I need to keep my part numbers separate from each company

I don't think it will ever work for your scenario. Best to just keep a spreadsheet for each company with PN/description tracking in it, then manually copy/paste into OS. IMO.
Is that what Enterprise is for?
Enterprise can help with auto-generating the next number in a sequence and keeping things unique, but handling different schemes for different customers is not built in. Adding a PLM tool like Arena would make that possible.

Wish the part numbering wasn't company wide and could do it project by project or a way to break it up. Adding Arena for the ability to do this seems extream.
