controling simulation parameters

Hi!
I tried to simulate a load on a complex geometry. I quickly exceeded the maximum of iteration so i had to degrade the geometry.
I dont need a good precision so is there a way to degrade the mesh (size or quality), control the iteration range or to choose the used algorythm ?
