3D printing models at different scales

graham_lockgraham_lock Member Posts: 256 PRO

Hi,

Is there a recommended workflow to produce an onshape model which can be exported at different scales?

It might be necessary to tweak some dimensions to suit the scaling to ensure reliable prints.

Does this need to be designed in with dimensions and configurations, or at least partly so, or is there a better way?

Thank you.

Sounds like a job for configurations.

If you just need to scale the whole thing, use a configured transform feature. Else, configure individual dimensions.

I expect that virtual all slicing software programs have a built-in scaling feature.
