Trying to figure out compound angles on a part

shuswap_patshuswap_pat Member Posts: 21

I saw a nice design for a simple stand, and I tried to recreate it, but can not get the angles figured out.

I want the top and bottom of the side to be flat with to top and bottom planes. I though this could be a simple project ffor our Makerspace.

Creating the tabletop and then a couple of extrudes 'up to face' will provide the result I think you want as in this document. It looks a bit wonky but you can play around with the tabletop sketch to get the top where you want it. That gap at the bottom where both legs merge can probably be avoided if you create one leg without a slot and then Boolean Remove to have one leg create the slot for the other.
