Bulk Editing Standard Content Metadata - Renaissance

Renaissance has a new tool!

Standard Content Metadata is a new tool that allows users to bulk edit Part Numbers and Descriptions for standard content.

How does it work?

First start by selecting your standard content component.
Download the CSV template and Parameters list for that component.

The parameters list provides all of the possible values for each configuration parameter.

Update the CSV template with rows for each desired combination of configuration parameters, along with their respective part number and description.

Upload the template file into Renaissance (making sure not to change the filename!), and upon Import - Renaissance will update your company's metadata.

A few notes:
- Currently only ANSI, DIN, and ISO are supported
- Not all configuration combinations are supported by Onshape

-Excel is not recommended for modifying the CSV files. Excel will modify many data fields thinking they are dates. Always verify the CSV data in a simple text editor like notepad first.
-The file delimiter needs to be a comma, some localizations can save the file with a ; instead.
