Line feature turning to arc.

Has anyone else experienced the line feature turning to an arc in the middle of drawing a line segment?
It doesn't happen every time, but is happening often. So I thought I would post the question in case there might be a fix.

This is added functionality from a while back.
Unfortunately as of right now, there is no way to turn it off or assign it to a hot key.
To activate it, hover over the starting point of your line and it will turn into a tangent arc.
Hover back over the starting point to turn it back into a line.
