Can't remove students' custom materials libraries

To start with, I have a custom material library that I have built for my classes that I want to automatically insert itself into the documents for each of my students. To accomplish that, I shared it with the classroom as view only and checked the box under the classroom's Preferences to "add classroom owned shared material libraries in user accounts." That seemed to work out great!
However, for one of my class assignments, I have students make their own custom material libraries. Since they're all documents made inside my Education classroom, they get put into my material library list by default for any document now. I've gone to My account Preferences, but the "Remove" button is grayed out and I can't get rid of them.
Short of deleting the documents or transferring ownership back to the students one by one after I grade them (not preferred, as I have almost 50 kids), is there any way I can remove my students' libraries from my list while still being able to insert my library into theirs?

I believe you can go into your Classroom settings and under Preferences uncheck "Add classroom owned shared material libraries in user accounts."
