CAM Studio - How do I edit a post processor, or machine?

Hi CAM Studio team.
I have an old Maho 400E CNC mill, running under LinuxCNC. Since LinuxCNC uses clean compliance to RS-274, code from the Tormach or Mach 4 post processors mostly work.
However, the 400E has a mechanical 18 speed spindle gearbox, so I need a G4 P4 four second pause in my code after a spindle start. How can I edit the generic Mach 4 PP to add things like this please?
Cheers,
Mark
