Create and Add Custom Column to BOM

Dylan_WalkerDylan_Walker Member Posts: 5

Hello,

I have an assembly with multiple subassembly and I want to add a column to the BOM table to reference what page onwards in the drawing that the related information can be found. Is there such away to do this without having to insert a generic table.

Thanks in advance.

You'll need Onshape Professional, as the best way to do this is to create a Custom Property, and add that to your BOM (even better add it to a BOM template)! More info on how to do that here: https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/Plans/custom_properties.htm, https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/bill_of_material.htm?Highlight=bom%20template

From there, you can set the property in the BOM in the assembly, or Override that field (the Page Number property) in the BOM on the drawing (which is probably easiest.
