Integrated vs connected cloud app

We want to launch on the app store. Our app is a simulation software where we have an extension for users to import parts into our app for simulation. Should we launch this as a connected or integrated cloud app?
I tried both; integrated apps do display the extension when added, but connected apps seem to not do so - so I'm leaning towards the understanding that we should do an integrated app. The only point of confusion for me is just the description of both types of apps; users do need a sign-in to our app and will be doing most of the simulation flow (for now) inside our app, which from what I read describes connected apps more.
Can someone from OnShape provide some insight here? Much appreciated!

Hi Ahmed, we'd love to connect and discuss your various options. Can you please send a note to onshape-developer-relations@ptc.com, and we can find some time to meet?
Simulation providers have approached the app creation in both ways in the past. Some have chosen to embed some of their UI within Onshape by using an integrated cloud app, while others simply create an associative link to the Onshape geometry through a connected cloud app. Check them out here: https://cad.onshape.com/appstore/apps/Simulation?sort=featured
