About configurted parts

Hello,
I have some problem with configurated parts. I am on free Onshape account.I make my own configurated part with some hole and dimensions, I have it in my library folder. I duplicate it, and insert like a part in some new project in part studio give it name "PART" and use it like a base in that project . Frome that place I will duplicate It more times in different variations and every time give different name "PART2", "PART3"...with different set of holes and dimensions. That parts I will insert and make assembly of it. Problem is when I open some of these configurated parts "PART 2", "PART 3"...It will look like its not configurated any more. It lost all holes and dimensions how I set it. Goes back in some early stage, without anything. Like Onshape lost configuration. I can not use release, cause I am on free account. If someone can help me ? Thanks in advance.

Are you using Derive to bring your configured parts into other Part Studios? If you share your document, it will be easier to understand your issue.
It's a little hard to follow exactly what you've done without seeing the document(s), but "duplicating" is rarely what you want to do. If you have a basic part design that you're reusing with certain variations in holes in dimensions, that could all be done in a single part studio with configurations. Then you should be able to insert a configuration in an assembly, and have configurations A, B, and C along side each other if you want.
For simple projects, Versions can be good enough without having Revisions and release management from the Professional level.
I would strongly recommend going through the free training:

I have problem in how to use configurated parts when created. I create first that " konfig-ploča" have it in my folder. When create some new document, I want to use it like a base, for similar parts like that.. just make more variations..So I duplicate it, rename it like N/1006, N/1011,N... all those parts I will insert in assembly later. When I close my document, open it next day, I check that part N/1006, and some others it looks like its not configurated, without holes, wrong dimenzions..I attach some screenshots
Do I have to make versions of each that configurated part separately, or something like that..Cause when I make version, it looks like it will make version of hole document (Main), not just that configurated part..And I make that versions, but still sometimes when I open that parts N/.. it will be like that first base one-konfig ploča, without holes, not updated. Is it better way to go, that I import that first base part (konfig-ploča) and make assembly of it, so use it like subassembly-inserting in other assembly?
