Looking at your screen shot, quick : Would typing a capital 'P' help at the first letter of your variable?

Could there be issues with the units? A length would probably have to be expressed as somthing like millimeters or inches.

I think it needs to be "above" in the table. Variables in a part studio are defined in the feature tree and are ordered.
