Onshape Expansion to PDF Editing

YarbnedYarbned Member Posts: 1 PRO

Onshape is one of my favorite applications of all time. I used it professionally for 5+ years in the aerospace industry. Currently I work in electrical contracting doing estimating and design work. In my field, I primarily use Bluebeam and Accubid. Both softwares leave much to be desired. I feel like with some work Onshape could absolutely dominate these applications. Specifically Bluebeam Studio (bluebeams answer to cloud sharing and collaborative editing) is horrific. I pray for the day Onshape takes over this industry. lol

What would Onshape need to do specifically to accomplish the core features in Bluebeam? Onshape has ways to mark-up/comment on drawings. If this was expanded to work for any generic PDF would that be enough?

Accubid seems a little more specialized to the point where it would likely need to be a 3rd party API based tool.
