Is there any way to use mesh or a 3d scan as reference?

When importing actual 3d scans and not phone scans, this ones are quite detailed, and have over 2M polygons.

The issue comes when the feature of onshape auto snaps over every single polygon, wich makes onshape unusable (huge lag) even with a beefy pc.

Is there a way to use a mesh as a reference, kind of like an 3d image wich cant be snaped, edited neither selectable?(just like if was a sketch for reference).

In this exact case im trying to redo a car lip, and is absolutely impossible.

Here you can see the actual mesh and the auto snap i talk about, onshape really seems to struggle with it and i want to know if there is any solution for this issue, since other softwares dont struggle with it at all.

Thanks in advance to everyone!

I haven't tried this, but the first thing that comes to mind is to use an assembly. Then you could do in context if/when you needed it.

I will say this is a place where Plasticity is much more capable. It has more granularity over how you interact with geometry in a document. It can be hidden/visible, enabled/disabled, and locked/unlocked. Hidden/visible is the same as Onshape. Disabled/enabled controls if you can snap to something or not. Locked/unlocked controls the ability to move/modify the geometry.

People often set reference geometry that they don't want to snap to as visible, disabled, and locked. I would love to see that functionality in Onshape.
