20+ Hours In: Zero Downtime

As a gray-of-beard and long-of-tooth mechanical engineer with tens of thousands of hours of CAD time—mostly Autodesk, plus some Revit, Fusion 360, CATIA, and SolidWorks—I’ve got to say I’m genuinely impressed by the stability and capability of OnShape.
Sat down last week thinking I’d maybe use it on a modest project. Since then I’ve spent exactly zero hours fiddle-futzing with installs, licenses, updates, or workstation drama. All that time went straight into learning the tool and cranking out a basement pantry design that ended up far beyond my expectations.
Editing in context, versioning and branching, configurations, instantaneous sectioning — all brilliant. Plenty more gems still waiting, I’m sure.
Looking forward to earning the OnShape Certified Professional, and possibly pursuing contract work in the coming months, if there's a market out there.
Else there's always Revit, ugh!
