VARIABLE LENGTH BETWEEN INSTANCES

Hello there.
I was looking for a way to alter the distance between instances in a parametrically driven way and really cant make it work through circular pattern although i tried using expressions also. Have you got any idea on how should i go about making it. Should i just make a linear pattern of the circles and maybe drive the disctance between every 2 instances with a variable and then make a circular pattern ?
Your help is higly appreciated.
