Can I download a class submission to 3D print a classes work?

I'm running a series of CAD projects across different year groups. One of the projects is a key fob that I want to 3D print for the class. Can I download all of their ideas at once instead of going into each students project and exporting as an STL file?

If not, can this be a considered upgrade?

If it's hundreds of students, it might be worth writing an API script. Or, it might save you a few clicks to have each student export their work as an STL into their documents for you. Or they could even upload the STLs to one big shared document.

    But yes, good upgrade idea.

We have ~450 students from (UK) Yr8 through to Yr13 who are using Onshape. Some of the projects require a teacher to download up to 20 individual files to then be 3D printed. A bulk download for a class would be really useful.

We could get students to upload to another area, but you can't rely on the students to download in the correct format. I think if you're going to offer a classroom account, enabling teachers to download straight from the app makes sense.

I'm not sure how to write an API, but would be happy to try. Anyone got any advice for a beginner?

It would definitely take some work (and risk hitting your API call limit) but if you look at the Intro to the API course (https://learn.onshape.com/courses/intro-to-the-onshape-api), there is a section on "translations" which is exporting Onshape geometry to download.
